Here's another lesson about the perils of the drunk and disorderly life: Janeane Garofalo claims she got drunk in Vegas, married a guy, and neither of them realized it - for 20 years.

In fact, they only woke up to this inconvenient fact when the guy - Rob Cohen, a producer on the Big Bang Theory - got engaged to marry someone else, Jill Leiderman, a producer on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and his lawyer discovered it.

So they had to get a really quickie divorce, on Saturday in New York, notarized at a midtown bank.

All this is according to Garofalo, who explained it Saturday night at a New York Comedy Festival reunion for The Ben Stiller Show, reported The New York Post today.

No joke, "We were married for 20 years until this evening," she told the audience.

"We got married drunk in Vegas...We dated for a year, and we got married at a drive-through chapel in a cab. (We thought) you have to go down to the courthouse and sign papers and stuff,so who knew? We were married, and apparently now that (Rob) is getting married for real, his lawyer dug up something."

The comic actress and liberal political activist added that she no longer drinks.
