Robert Pattinson could choose just about any car he wants, write a check and that would be the end of it. Turns out he has a cheapskate streak.
The Twilight series actor, who starring in the new David Cronenberg film Cosmopolis, revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live recently that he, instead, is buying cheap old cars off Craigslist, according to Jalopnik.com. It's in the video on YouTube.
His latest conquest, automotive-wise, is a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup that he bought for $2,500 from a guy living from his parents in Chino Hills, Calif. He wanted a beater truck for his bikes.
Pattinson, of course, hasn't had as much luck with women lately as he has cars. If he enjoys Craigslist this much, does it mean he could be using the dating portion, too?
