Kenneth Bruce Gorelick -- you know him as smooth jazz saxophonist Kenny G -- has filed for divorce from his wife, Balynda (Lyndie) Benson-Gorelick.

The musician, 56, cited irreconcilable differences in L.A. Superior Court papers dated Aug. 9, report TMZ and People.com.

Balynda filed for legal separation in January to end the couple's 20-year marriage.

In Kenny's documents, filed by divorce-lawyer-to-the-stars Laura Wasser, the musician asks to terminate the court's ability to award Balynda with spousal support because the couple had a prenup. TMZ says that is a significant point because Kenny G is said to be worth $50 million.

Kenny is also asking for joint custody of one of their two sons, Noah, 14.
