One less lonely girl?
Swimming sensation Missy Franklin now has something other 17-year-old girls all over the world will be jealous of: a tweet from Justin Bieber.
The teen heartthrob singer wrote about Franklin on Twitter on Tuesday morning, hours after she won her first individual gold medal in the 100-meter backstroke. He tweeted:
"heard @FranklinMissy is a fan of mine. now im a fan of hers too. CONGRATS on winning GOLD! #muchlove"
The message was retweeted over 4,700 times - including by Franklin herself.
She quoted Bieber's message and added: "I just died! Thankyou!"
There was no #callmemaybe hashtag but should we expect a USA Swimming spoof of a Bieber song next?
