JOHNS CREEK, Ga. -- A woman was arrested after being caught trespassing at the Johns Creek home of R&B star Usher Raymond.
According to a police report and 911 call, the woman approached
Raymond's house on June 24, rang the doorbell and was initially let into
the house.
Raymond said on the 911 call that he was not home at the time and the
woman was immediately asked to leave when it was clear she wasn't
invited. However, she refused to leave the porch.
"I've got two children in the home," Raymond told the 911 operator.
"There are three adults in the house. And apparently this young lady is a
bit delusional."
Raymond, who lives in a gated neighborhood, said he spotted the woman on his home security cameras.
According to the report, when police arrived, they found Darshelle
Jones-Rakestraw on the porch. She had her iPad plugged into an outside
outlet.
Police arrested Rakestraw, but she was refused admission to the
Alpharetta jail because of her mental state. The report states she told
officers she was Raymond's wife and that "he makes all of her
decisions." She was taken to Emory Johns Creek Hospital for mental
evaluation.
In the calls, Raymond said he had no idea how the woman made her way past security guards and into his neighborhood.
