Stuff the Bus

A School Supply Drive for Kids in Need

Monday, July 16th - Saturday, August 4th

Stuff the BusThousands of children in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia begin school each year without even the most basic classroom necessities. To be ready to learn, they need the proper supplies!

First Coast News WTLV/WJXX, Publix Super Markets, Community First Credit Union, The Salvation Army and United Way of Northeast Florida have joined together to give needy children a "smart start" to the upcoming school year through Stuff the Bus - our annual school supply drive for kids in need. Special "Stuff the Bus" barrels are already in place at area Publix stores and Community First Credit Union locations, ready and waiting for your donations--and will be available until Saturday, August 4th.

Come out and see us Saturday, August 4th, when First Coast News will be live from the Publix store on Roosevelt Boulevard (4495 Roosevelt Blvd.) during our Good Morning Jacksonville Saturday broadcast, from 8:00-9:00 AM. Drop off your donations then, and you may be on TV! Meet our Stuff the Bus team!

Stuff the Bus also helps teachers! Supplies collected during Stuff the Bus will also benefit teachers through the Full Service Schools initiative. The Full Service Schools Resource Center supports 80 schools in Duval County. Teachers have access to these much needed supplies for their students. The neighborhoods served are Arlington, Westside, Northside, Springfield, Sandalwood, Paxon, Englewood and the Beaches area.
