Angela is an Anchor/Reporter for First Coast News. She joined the news staff in August 1998. Angela is up bright and early every morning doing live reports for the morning shows Good Morning Jacksonville Sunrise and Good Morning Jacksonville. You can also see her on First Coast News at Noon.
Before coming to the Jacksonville market, Angela was an Anchor/Reporter at the CBS affiliate in Waco, Texas. During her time there, she covered everything from human-interest stories to politics, including the Texas legislature.
Her awards include the Texas Associated Press Broadcasting Association 1998 1st place Best General Assignment Story and 1997 Honorable Best Spot Story awards. Angela is a native Texan. She grew up in Corpus Christi. She attended The University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism. She is a very proud Texan and Longhorn!
Angela enjoys working with young people. She volunteers her time with several organizations and schools. She believes it's important to give back to others, especially young people.
"People helped me out along the way and now it's my time to help others," says Angela.
Angela is passionate about many issues including organ donation, the future of our young people and our country. She feels the best thing she's ever done is help her father by donating an organ to him.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, public speaking, listening to music, watching TV and shopping. Angela loves shoes!!
