You can find Mark Collins each night on WJXX ABC-25's 7:00 pm newscast. Mark received his Bachelors of Science degree from Florida State University and also studied meteorology at Mississippi State University. Mark's proudest moment in his career was obtaining the AMS Seal of Approval in 2001.
He is Jacksonville's first Certified Broadcast Meteorologist receiving the CBM seal in 2006. Prior to joining the First Coast News weather team, Mark worked on-air in the weather department at Miami's WTVJ NBC 6, WFOR in Miami and Florida's News Channel in Tallahassee.
As a Florida native, Mark was born and raised in Treasure Island near St. Petersburg and is an avid surfer. Mark and his wife, Kim, enjoy spending time at the beach, gardening and traveling.
