  • Shannon Ogden comes to Jacksonville from Boston, where for six years he has worked as anchor/reporter at NECN, New England Cable News, the nation's largest regional cable television network serving 3.2 million homes in six states. He has anchored some of the biggest national stories in recent years originating from New England including 9/11, the Rhode Island nightclub fire and the Catholic Church sex abuse scandal.

    In addition to traditional newscasts at NECN, Shannon anchored a daily business broadcast, hosted a movie review program with the Boston Globe's film critic and hosted a popular weekly home show.

    Shannon's journalism honors include a national Gracie Award from the American Women in Radio and Television and regional Emmy for coverage of the deadly crash of American Airlines flight 1420 in Little Rock.

    After an internship with CNN in Brussels, Shannon's television career has taken him to his native Arkansas, Missouri, Utah and to Boston.

    Shannon is the proud father of young Isabella. He and his wife Torrey look forward to making the First Coast their home.
