JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- It's an empty lot, but the owner said it brings problems.

Gary of Jacksonville told us he bought a lot on Cleveland Road in 2011 and he keeps getting cited by the city for trash.

He claims it comes from the convenience store next door. He told First Coast News that he wants those citations to stop and can't afford to put up a fence.

Monica Landeros, a spokesperson for the city's Municipal Code Compliance Division, tells FCN this is a lien dispute. Landeros said Gary was cited 3 times for failure to maintain the property citing overgrowth since he bought the land.

The city said he has to come up with a way to properly maintain the land and ensure debris removal.

If you would like to file a complaint with the city's Municipal Code Compliance Division, head to their website.
