Recent College Grad

About Walter: Walter recently graduated from Bethune Cookman University with a degree in Criminal Justice. Walter says he's a very laid-back person that's committed to helping others and experiencing new things in life. Being overweight has been a life long struggle--and has caused him a lot of grief and social discomfort. "Most people don't understand the damage they can do with taunting and harrassing words", says Walter. His family's loving support is what got him through--but not every young person is that lucky. Every year a child takes his or her life due to negative self image and Walter hopes to inspire some young person like him who may be experiencing some of the same challenges life handed him early on. Walter would like to be a positive influence for young people with weight problems--and let them know that they are not defined by what people say about them--and if they want to change, they can.

Sentinel Moment: I went shopping last year around Christmas, and I couldn't get any of the clothes I really wanted because they didn't come in my size.

You'll most likely see Walter: at church or at the Town Center.

Weekend Activities: Walter loves going to the movies or out to lunch with friends.

Favorite Sports Teams: the Bethune-Cookman University Wildcats

If I'm Watching a Movie or Listening to Music, it's probably: R & B or Christian music

I am passionate about: God. I really love helping others, and I love working with kids.
