Starting Weight: 278.2 lbs

Current Weight: 265.2 lbs

Sales Rep/Husband/Dad

About Chico: Chico has been married for 23 years, and has three children--22, 17, and 15. He enjoys riding his motorcycle and getting together with friends and family. Chico is a former restaurant owner, and currently has a DJ business with his son.

Sentinel Moment: I had a friend pass away in his sleep--and it made me realize the danger I could be in with being overweight. Like my friend, I too have sleep apnea. Even though I have taken measures to take care of the problem, being overweight is still the underlying cause of my health problems. I also have high blood pressure and I do not want to add to the list! I want to be healthy and avoid any future health risks.

You'll most likely see Chico: I will be spending most of my time at Bailey's Gym in Jacksonville, and Alpha Gym in St. Augustine! Other than that, I will be on my bike going over the 312 bridge and through town.

Weekend Activities: "DJ"-ing with my son. And the rest of my time with my wife and girls, doing whatever they come up with.

Favorite Sports Teams: the Florida Gators, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Miami Dolphins, and the Oakland Raiders. Like most fans, I am in the middle of the fantasy football craze.

If I'm Watching a Movie or Listening to Music, it's probably: Classic Rock for music, and Sci-Fi for movies.

I am passionate about: Helping others. Whatever it may be, whether it is helping with spiritual advice, helping with charities or just being there for a friend.
