Previously reported by USA TODAY, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is a tradition that was born in 1924 which is comprised of floats, balloons, and joyous performances on the streets of New York City in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday.  The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade was eventually televised by 1947.

The 91st annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade begins at 9 a.m. ET and runs until about 10:30 a.m.

Where to watch or stream the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year?

As usual, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air live on NBC at 9 a.m. ET.  The network will also be streaming the parade on its website and through its mobile app. Those who have cable providers can login to NBC.com/live with their account credentials.  CNET reported that NBC local stations like NBC New York and NBC Dallas-Forth Worth will offer live streaming on their websites without sign in requirements.  NBC also collaborated with Youtube and Verizon to live stream the parade with 360-degree features.

Celebrities like Smokey Robinson and Jimmy Fallon will be making appearances at the 2017 Macy’s Thanksgiving Dar Parade. Also announced by Macy’s, the celebrity lineup also includes: Patti LaBell,The Roots, Gwen Stefani, 98 Degrees, Sara Evans, Andra Day, Cam, Dustin Lynch, Wyclef Jean, Goo Goo Dolls, Kat Graham, The Radio City Rockettes, Olivia Holt, JoJo Siwa, Andy Grammer, Leslie Odom Jr., Angelica Hale, Bebe Rexha, Lauren Alaina, Nicky Jam and Sabrina Carpentar.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has had iconic cartoon characters like Felix the Cat and Mikey Mouse spotlighted as balloons throughout the years.  This year’s parade will continue this tradition. It was recently revealed that Olaf, the resident snowman from “Frozen,” will be making a debut as one of the giant character balloons at the 91st annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The following are other character balloons that will be on display in the parade: Pillsbury Doughboy, Angry Bird’s Red, Ice Age’s Scrat & His Acorn, Res Might Morphin Power Ranger, Sinclair’s Dino, Hello Kitty, Ronald McDonald, Trolls, SpongeBob SquarePants, Pikachu, Diary Of A Wimpy Kid, Greg Heffley, The Elf On The Shelf, Charlie Brown, Super Wing’s Jett, Paw Patrol’s Chase, The Grinch.
