JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Friends and family of Cherish Perrywinkle will say their final goodbyes to the little girl Thursday.
Perrywinkle, 8, was abducted from a WalMart on Lem Turner Road last Friday night.
Her body was discovered several hours later near a church on the north side.
Known sexual offender Donald Smith, 56, is now in jail charged with her kidnapping and murder.
A viewing for Perrywinkle will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Paxon Revival Center Church on Commonwealth Ave.
It is open to the public, and several hundred people are expected to attend.
Her funeral will be held in the same location at 2 p.m. Friday with a burial to follow.
Hardage Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home is donating its services to the Perrywinkle family, including a headstone and burial site.
A bank account has also been set up at Ameris Bank on Lane Ave. through the Jacksonville Justice Coalition.
Make sure you notate that you want your money to go to the Perrywinkle family should you choose to make a donation.
