Among the classics on hand was Skip Burdette's customized 1971 Buck Grand Sport Custom. Then & Not Auto of Marietta, Ga., did the work on this one-of-a-kind Buick that has been seen in the CW's "The Vampire Diaries" and the movie "Stomp the Yard ... Homecoming."
If you're into black, you'll love this car. It all starts with a House of Kolor black pearl finish. Other detailing includes molded, notched and smoothed bumpers that lead to a custom grille up front with custom engine cover and compartment.
The Foose wheels grab their share of attention while modern touches like a push button electric transmission shifter, four-wheel disc brakes and custom stainless mandrel bent exhaust help handling and performance.
Inside Burdette's GS is a custom leather interior, bucket seats, full console and parade boot. Gadget fans will be drawn to the entertainment system with a 1080 DPI high-definition monitor.
If the '50s are more your thing, then you would have no doubt liked Ken and Lisa Feagin's 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door sedan. The Jacksonville couple said they use it as a regular driver. The power glide transmission was rebuilt in 2010 and the Blue Flame 125 rebuild was finished in March. If you're thinking, "I don't remember '54 Bel Air's being available in Polo Green," you're correct. It was a color GM used in the '90s, according to the Feagins.
The Bel Air has had a pretty gentle life. When the Feagins bought it in 2010, it had only 46,000 miles. It was originally sold at Alva Chevrolet in Philadelphia for $2,566. The dealer installed the air flow heater while factory highlights on the invoice included power steering, power brakes and a radio delete. For younger readers, yes, there was a time when cars could be ordered without radios.
