A Datsun-branded Nissan hasn't been sold in the U.S. for nearly 30 years but the name may be making a comeback.
The Japanese Nikkei Newspaper reports Nissan is looking at relaunching the Datsun brand in 2014.
But don't look for the return of the Datsun 240Z or any of it's sister cars here in the U.S.
This time Nissan is looking at using the Datsun brand to sell low priced cars in emerging automotive markets such as India, Indonesia and Russia.
Datsun entered the American market in 1968, according Wikipedia, hitting it big here in the 1970s with such cars as the Dasun 240Z sports car and Staza line.
