SOUTH KOREA -- South Korean automaker Kia is handing out teaser sketches, above, of its first rear-drive sedan, code-named KH.
Kia says the big car will go on sale in the South Korean market the first half this year. The automaker says KH is meant to be the brand's global flagship, but Kia did not give details on when it would go on sale in the U.S. or other markets.
Kia's corporate affiliate, Hyundai, sells rear-drive models in the U.S. and elsewhere, suggesting the size and type of vehicle that Kia might launch.
Hyundai's top model, Equus, is a big, rear-drive four-door luxury sedan starting at about $60,000.
Hyundai Genesis is a full-size premium/entry-luxury sedan starting at about $35,000.
