BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- The sister of one of the teens accused in the killing of 13-month-old Antonio Santiago was granted a bond.
Sabrina Shane Nicole Elkins, 19 and her mother 36-year-old Karimah Aisha Elkins are facing felony charges of tampering with evidence for allegedly tossing the suspected murder weapon into a salt marsh pond off Highway 17, according to the Brunswick Police Department.
De'Marquise Elkins, Sabrina's brother, is accused in the murder of Santiago.
Sabrina Elkins' bond was set at $25,000 and she would be required to wear an ankle bracelet if she bonds out.
As of Wednesday evening, Sabrina Elkins had not bonded out, according to the Glynn County Superior Court Clerk's Office.
