JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Clouds will increase as we head towards our Monday as do shower chances for areas across southeast Georgia. Temperatures will be warm once again, but a cold front briefly cools us off to seasonable levels by Tuesday. Keep the sunscreen and shades handy, however, because the heat kicks on once again by Wednesday!

An approaching cold front weakens before reaching our area. It'll take its time to pass through the First Coast on Monday, so most showers will be focused on the north side of the FL/GA border. Northeast Florida could see an isolated shower by late day with only a stray chance for an early evening thunderstorm. Overall, it'll be a mostly dry start to the work week for Jacksonville.

Winds shift out of the northeast by Tuesday, which helps to cool us off to near 70 in the afternoon. Another front nears the region by late week, so temperatures surge back into the toasty lower-middle 80s by Wednesday and Thursday. Shower chances by late Thursday and early Friday will increase and temperatures will cool into next weekend to near average (lows: upper 40s, lower 50s / highs: upper 60s, lower 70s).
