JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Good Morning! A frosty start for areas west of I-95 this morning. Make sure the kids have the layers including hats and gloves. A gorgeous sunny day is on the way and it will feel great in the sunshine this afternoon with highs in the lower to middle 60s or closer to where we should be for this time of year.
This warm up is brief as a strong cold front moves in on Wednesday. We will have Wednesday wind chills with highs only in the lower 50s with falling temperatures in the afternoon.
A Hard Freeze is likely by Thursday morning for inland areas and a freeze all the way to the beach. You will need to protect the pets, pipes and plants west of Interstate 95.
Weekend Outlook: The January thaw is on the way! Expect 70s to return Sunday with no rain in the forecast. The Jaguar-Pats forecast is still looking spectacular with sunshine and kickoff temperatures in Foxborough, Massachusetts near 50 degrees.
