Tropical Storm Emily continues to bring wet and windy conditions to areas of Florida from Tampa to Fort Myers.

As of 2 p.m., the center of the storm was located 30 miles SE of Tampa. The storm is moving east at 10 miles per hour and is still a tropical storm packing 40 mile an hour winds. Emily made landfall on Anna Maria Island near Sarasota at 10:45 a.m. with 45 mile an hour sustained winds.

A Tropical Storm Warning is still in effect for the west coast of Florida from Englewood southward to Bonita Beach.

The storm is expected to sweep across Florida and exit the state between Vero Beach and Titusville.

The cone of concern and flooding stays well south of our area but travel farther south is not advised due to tropical storm Emily.
