School closures following Hurricane Irma

Here is a running list of school closures and schedule adjustments for the counties on the First Coast.

Here is a running list of school closures in our area following Hurricane Irma's impact on the First Coast:

Clay

- Clay County District Schools and district offices will be closed on Friday, Sept. 8 and remain closed through Tuesday Sept. 12.

- College and Career Night at Clay High School scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 7 has been canceled.

- Junior Varsity football games scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 7 have been canceled.

- All Open House events scheduled for Sept. 7, 11 and 12 have been canceled and will be rescheduled.

- St. Johns Country Day School in Orange Park will be closed on Friday, Sept. 8 and Monday, Sept. 11.

- Administration of the ACT at St. Johns Country Day School has been canceled for Saturday, Sept. 9. The reschedule date will be posted at www.actstudent.org.

- Grace Episcopal Day School in Orange Park will be closed on Friday, Sept. 8 and Monday, Sept. 11.

- YMCA before and afterschool programs in Clay County are canceled on Friday, Sept. 8 through Monday, Sept. 11.

Baker

- All Baker County public schools will be closed until Thursday, September 14.

- All Bradford County district public schools will be closed on Monday, Sept. 11 and Tuesday, Sept. 12. Further decisions will be made once the storm passes and damage has been assessed.

- Starke Christian School in Starke, Fla. will be closed on Monday, Sept. 11 and Tuesday, Sept. 12. Updates will be posted to the school's Facebook page. Additionally, the Open House and Game Night scheduled for Friday have been postponed.

Duval

- Duval County Schools will be on early dismissal Thursday, September 7 and will be closed on Friday, September 8 through Wednesday, September 13. All after-school activities and Extended Day care has also been canceled for those dates.

- Administrations of the ACT have been canceled at all DCPS high school test centers.

- Jacksonville University is closed Friday, September 8 - Tuesday, September 12 due to Hurricane Irma.

- Friday High School Football games are moved to Thursday. No school closures at this time.

- Episcopal School of Jacksonville will be closed Friday, September 8 - Monday, September 11.

- Parsons Christian Academy will be closed from Friday, September 8 - Tuesday, September 12.

- The University of North Florida will be closed Friday, September 8 and Monday, September 11.

- Administration of the ACT at Bolles School on Saturday, Sept. 9 has been canceled. Reschedule test date will be posted at www.actstudent.org.

- San Jose Episcopal Day School will be closed on Friday, Sept. 8 and Monday, Sept. 11.

- Jacksonville Country Day School will be closed on Friday, Sept. 8 thru Wednesday, Sept. 13. All school activities are also canceled.

- Jones Technical Institute (J-Tech) will be closed on Friday, Sept. 8 and will remain closed until Monday, Sept. 11.

- Edward Waters College will be closed for all activities on Friday, Sept. 8, with plans to resume campus operations on Sept. 13.

- Jericho School for Children with Autism will be closed on Friday, Sept. 8 and Monday, Sept. 11.

- St. Mark's Episcopal Day School will be closed on Friday, Sept. 8 and Monday, Sept. 11.

-The University of Phoenix will be closed starting Thursday, Sept. 7, through Monday, Sept. 11.

- Florida Coastal School of Law will close at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7 and remain closed for Friday, Sept. 8 and Monday, Sept. 11. The school will follow directive of the Duval County Public School system closure schedule.

- YMCA before and afterschool programs in Duval County are canceled on Friday, Sept. 8 through Monday, Sept. 11.

- University Christian and Early Learning Academy will be closed until Tuesday 9/12

- All Catholic schools closed until Tuesday 9/12.

- Trinity Christian Academy will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 13. Classes will resume on Thursday, Sept. 14.

Nassau

- All public schools in Nassau County will remain closed through Thursday, Sept. 14, and will reopen on Friday, Sept. 15.

- YMCA before and afterschool programs in Nassau County are canceled on Friday, Sept. 8 through Monday, Sept. 11.

- All Catholic schools closed until Tuesday 9/12.

Putnam

- Public schools in Putnam County will be closed on Friday, Sept. 8 and Tuesday, Sept. 12.

St. Johns

- All public schools in St. Johns County will be closed from Friday, September 8 through Wednesday, September 13.

- Florida School for the Deaf and Blind will be closed on Thursday, September 7 and Friday, September 8. According to the school, SHOW bus students will go home Wednesday following the Friday schedule. Yellow day bus students will go home Wednesday at their regular dismissal time, this includes students who are picked up by their parents/legal guardians.

- Flagler College classes have been canceled from Thursday, Sept. 7 through Tuesday, Sept. 12. College residence halls, Flagler Security and other services including the dining hall will continue on schedule, unless otherwise notified.

- St. Johns River State College campuses in Palatka, St. Augustine and Orange Park will be closed until further notice starting Friday, September 8.

- Historic tours and Crisp-Ellert Art Museum Exhibitions at Flagler College have been canceled.

- YMCA before and after-school programs in St. Johns County are canceled on Friday, Sept. 8 through Monday, Sept. 11.

- All Catholic schools closed until Tuesday 9/12.

Camden

- All public schools in Camden County will be closed until Thursday, Sept. 14. All school activities will also be canceled.

Charlton

- All Charlton County public schools will be closed on Friday, Sept. 8 and Monday, Sept. 11 for all students and staff. Official announcements from the school will be posted on the system website and the Charlton County School Facebook page.

Glynn

- All schools in the Glynn County School System will be canceled on Friday, Sept. 8, Monday, Sept. 11 and Tuesday, Sept. 12. Schools will operate on normal schedule for Thursday, Sept. 7 with no changes to dismissal times or bus schedules. All athletic events, including the rescheduled Glynn Academy-Camden County football game, will be canceled.

Ware

- All public schools in Ware County will be closed on Monday, Sept. 11 through Wednesday, Sept. 13. A decision has not been made yet on whether school will resume on Thursday, Sept. 14.

- Ware County high school will release at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8.

- Ware County middle schools will release at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8

- DAFFODIL and Ware County Learning Center will release at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 8.

- Center Elementary will release at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 8.

Catholic School Closures

- Bishop Estévez announced that it is closing Catholic schools in all 17 counties of the diocese on Friday, Sept. 8 to Monday, Sept. 11. Click here to check the operation status for each school.
