JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - More than 300 customers are still without power Wednesday afternoon after a cement truck crashed into a power pole.

The crash happened near W. Beaver Street and Otis Road around rush hour Wednesday morning. The Florida Highway Patrol says the driver of the cement truck took a hard right at a high speed and crashed. After the crash, the truck rotated and overturned into a tree, hitting a power pole in the process. The driver was transported to UF Health with non-life threatening injuries.

Shortly after the crash, more than 2,500 homes were without power.
