Police responded to a traffic accident involving a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office employee Downtown.
The accident occurred at 300 E. State Street Wednesday afternoon. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, an inmate transport van was traveling on State Street and hit a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There were no inmates inside the van at the time of the crash.
