Lanes of Interstate-295 North near Monument Road are back open after a crash involving multiple people Wednesday, according to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
JFRD said that they were responding to the scene where one person was trapped around 5:38 p.m. and more crews were on the way.
As they worked the scene multiple lanes were closed, creating a backup during rush hour.
All lanes were back open around 6:22 p.m. but traffic is still moving slowly in the area.
At this time, no further information is known.
