JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —
An 18-year-old Jacksonville man is dead after the Florida Highway Patrol said he was hit by two cars Friday night in Northside Jacksonville.
According to the FHP, the crash happened at about 8:15 p.m. on Main Street near Sara Drive.
FHP said the first car was traveling south on Main Street when it hit the man. Shortly after, a second car hit the man in the road.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department later pronounced the man dead. Neither of the two drivers in the crash were injured.
Main Street was closed in both directions for a period of time while authorities cleared the scene and investigated the crash. The road has since reopened.
The FHP said the investigation is ongoing.
