JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Northbound lanes are closed on Interstate-295 and Herlong Road on the Westside due to a fatal crash Sunday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Details about the deceased victim or victims have not been released but the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said a person was ejected from a vehicle and suffered critical injuries. It has not been disclosed if that person is among the deceased.
The cause of the crash has not been disclosed.
As of 11:17 p.m., northbound lanes remain closed.
