Multiple southbound lanes of I-95 near Mile Marker 328 were shut down for several hours, making many people's commute home take several hours on Tuesday.

The Florida Department of Transportation told First Coast News that the lanes were shut down in regards to a crash that happened earlier in the day after a semi truck jack-knifed in the area.

As a result, crews had to clean up the fuel spill by applying sand and necessary materials before they could open the roadway.

The lanes were all opened back up around 8 p.m., but heavy traffic remained.
