Motorcyclist dead after crash with two other vehicles in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla — A motorcyclist is dead after a crash involving two other vehicles Sunday morning on Atlantic Boulevard in Jacksonville.

The crash happened at 8:25 a.m. at the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and Jeoandy Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist, identified only as a male, was headed west on Atlantic Blvd. and crashed into a sedan turning left onto Atlantic Blvd, the FHP said.

The man was thrown from the motorcycle and hit a black SUV. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the FHP.

First responders took the driver of the sedan a 57-year-old female, to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the SUV was not hurt.
