Marks had been with the team since 2013. In four seasons with the Jaguars, Marks produced 16 sacks.

Marks was among the top players for the franchise in 2013 and 2014. However, back-to-back season-ending injuries forced Marks down the depth chart. He served in a rotational role in 16 games (one start) last season.

Releasing Marks saves the Jaguars $4.4 million in cap space.

Marks turned 30 in February and has played eight NFL seasons. He was second round pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2009.
