JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Suns have advanced to the Southern League playoffs with a 6-5 win over Mobile on Monday afternoon.
Brady Shoemaker hit a 3-run homer in the 5th to give the Suns a 5-2 lead. Nick Wittgren allowed a pair of runs in the 9th, but he was able to hold on for the save as the Suns win 6-5.
Jacksonville finished the regular season with 10 wins in a row. Monday's win allowed the team to clinch the second half championship in the Southern League's South Division. They will play Mobile, the first half champs in a 5-game series which begins later this week. The winner of this series will play the winner of the North division series for the Southern League championship.

Playoff Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, September 2nd at 11:00 A.M. at the Suns Box Office and you can purchase them in person, online at www.jaxsuns.com or by calling 904-358-2846. Playoff tickets will be sold at premium game pricing with Home Plate Box tickets will be $16.50, Reserved tickets will be $12.50 and General Admission is $10.50. As A special promotion for the First Round of the Playoffs all Kids 12 and under will get in free.
