You know the old saying about old habits dying hard, well now one company is saying that you can kick old habits to the curb for good using this shockingly simple device.

Pavlok, created by Maneesh Sethi & Behavioral Technologies, is a small device that users wear on their wrist that promises to change behavior patterns by administering small shocks whenever a 'bad' action is performed.

According to Pavlok's website, the company says that Pavlok is able to determine when you do hand-related gestures related to your bad habit.

Trying to stop smoking? Pavlok can tell by analyzing your hand movements and help you stay aware by vibrating, beeping, or zapping.

Their Shock Clock 2 version also allows users the ability to set multiple shock alarms throughout the day and features a snooze lock which forces the user to do jumping jacks, scan a QR code in another room, or solve a math problem before turning off.

The company says Pavlok has helped users break habits such as smoking, swearing, overeating, and more.
