The Jacksonville Jaguars are on a roll.
The Jags had 80-to-1 odds of winning the Super Bowl at the start of the season. Some Vegas oddsmakers are now giving the team 25-to-1 odds of winning the Super Bowl.
The Jacksonville Jaguars, now sharing first place in the AFC South, have struck a chord with both longtime and casual fans.
Even oddsmakers see 2017 as being different. Both Bleacher Report and Vegas Insider give the Jaguars 25 to 1 odds at not just making the playoffs, but winning the Super Bowl. That's among the ranks of the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons.
Vegas Insider even ranked the Jags ahead of the Dallas Cowboys. Lifelong season ticket holder Bill Schneider said the odds for the Jags should be even better.
"I think that's low. I think we really do have a shot. I just have a funny feeling about this year," Schneider said.
Fans we talked to are cautiously optimistic, with a seemingly strong defense and offensive line that's giving Blake Bortles time to throw.
"It's a long shot, but i'm certainly pulling for them," Ed Coppedge said.
"I think we can pull something off or at least make it to the playoffs," Ryan Hodgins said.
