ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- The Anastasia Mosquito Control District of St. Johns County will be conducting an aerial spray for hot spots mostly in the western intercostal areas of St. Johns County due mosquito outbreak after Hurricane Matthew.

Officials say the planes will pass multiple times, so if residents hear them overhead, do not be alarmed.

Residents, please remain indoors and make an effort to shelter pets and outdoor animals between the hours of 8:00pm-11:00pm on Wednesday, October 19 as treatment occurs in the county.
