A gator couldn't get checked into the Quality Inn in Sebring, Fla.

SEBRING, Fla. -- Sorry, uh, no vacancy.

An alligator out for a stroll at a Quality Inn tried to check in Sunday afternoon. He couldn't get a room.

"We aren't sure if this little guy got locked out of his room at the Quality Inn in Sebring this afternoon or what," the Highlands County Sheriff's Office wrote on its Facebook page.

"Maybe he was just looking for the tiki bar to get a margatorita, but he didn't look like he was old enough to drink and didn't appear to have any ID in his alligator skin wallet."

The gator was captured by a licensed trapper and removed from the property.
