It's the moment we've all been waiting for! April the Giraffe finally went into active labor Saturday morning, ready to give birth to her fourth calf.

Friday night, veterinarians at Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, N.Y. where April is located said the mama-to-be had been pacing heavily and an active labor was anticipated.

Saturday morning around 7:30 p.m. local time, two baby hooves appeared, the common first sight of a giraffe birth. Around 9:30 a.m., the baby's head popped out. At 9:54 a.m., the baby was born.

April, who is 15 years old, has been pregnant for 15 months. The baby will mark her fourth calf, but will be Oliver's first.
