YMCA on First Coast taking applicants for summer jobs

In preparation for summer, the YMCA of Florida's First Coast is hiring more than 540 new employees to support summer camp programs.

In preparation for summer, the YMCA of Florida’s First Coast is hiring more than 540 new employees to support summer camp programs.

This includes 300 positions for Summer Day Camp and Camp Immokalee and 240 positions within the YMCA’s Aquatics program.

Staff will be trained to offer high-quality care by developing core values, improving reading comprehension through daily literacy activities and practicing good healthy habits by being active throughout the day.

“In more than 10,000 communities nationwide, staff members of all ages and backgrounds enjoy the personal satisfaction that comes from nurturing the potential of youth and teens, improving the nation’s health and well-being as well as providing support to our neighbors,” a news release said Thursday.
