Wedding still on following AFC Championship loss

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- James Rogers and his fiancee Gabriela are looking forward to their wedding day. But, before the two tie the knot, they had to endure their beloved football teams going head to head in the AFC Championship. It was a hard-fought battle and despite the Patriots winning, the two say they're both winners.

“I hear what people talk about with love at first sight, but I truly felt that when I looked in her eyes, I was just taken aback, I was like wow.” Jaguars fan James Rogers said.

From the first time James Rogers laid eyes on Gabriela, he knew she was the one for him.

“As soon as we talked to each other, we forgot about everybody else, and we were strangely attracted to each other even on the phone, just by hearing each other’s voice.”

Their voices though were different this game, as Gabriela is from New England and yes, Rogers from Jacksonville.

Despite their team differences, the two sat side by side inside Hurricane Grill and Wings among an army of black and teal.

For nearly every fry or wing they shared, came a jab at the other teams’ performance.

These two weren’t just fighting for bragging rights during the game, but the right to set their wedding date.

Similar to great teams, Gabriela didn’t say much, letting the play on the field do the talking.

Like the Patriots have done to so many before, stealing the Jaguars storybook ending of having the black and teal in the Super Bowl. Gabriela then took to her podium.

“The Jaguars did an awesome job, they really did, they played great, but we always come back in the end, that’s what happens.”

As Brady searches for his sixth ring, Gabriela now focuses on completing her own magical run, finishing it off with a ring of her own.

“We both win on this one, you both win, yeah we both win,” Rogers said.

The two say all joking aside, their wedding is still on and now it's up to Gabriela to set the date.
