JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Raines High School has been placed on a “Code Red” lockdown Friday afternoon following a possible threat in the surrounding area.

Duval County Public Schools announced the lockdown shortly after 1:45 p.m. Friday, stating that all students and staff are safe.

DCPS issued a statement around 4 p.m. that law enforcement received information that an unauthorized person may have been planning to go to the campus and cause harm. As a result, school officials enforced a Code Red lockdown immediately.

After investigating, the lockdown was lifted. No students or staff were hurt and were safely dismissed.
