JEA announced that power is expected to be restored to most customers without power by 11:59 p.m., Tuesday Oct. 11. That's 55 hours from the time of this writing.
There are 29 JEA crews currently in the field with an additional 43 crews from other electric companies around the state and Georgia.
As Florida Power and Light restores power to the majority of customers south of Jacksonville, 150 more utility workers will be able to assist.
At 8:15 p.m. Sunday morning, 142,000 customers were still without power. As of 5 p.m., 120,000 were still without power.
While the exact number of customers who should expect to have their power restored is not known, JEA did say they would be able 'to substantially complete our service restoration work.'
