Baptist Medical Center Beaches and Baptist Medical Center Nassau in Fernandina Beach are evacuating ahead of Hurricane Matthew making landfall on the First Coast, hospital officials say.

Patients at Baptist Beaches are being taken to Baptist Medical Center South. Baptist Nassau patients are being taken to Baptist Medical Center Downtown.

In a release, hospital officials say that command center officers decided it was in the patients' best interest to get them to other Baptist locations so their health and safety wouldn't be in danger.

If you have any family at either one of those hospitals and haven't been contacted by any staff, please call 904-202-2000.
