Norris Dail, Sr., 26, was found with what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in the woods in west Baltimore two weeks after allegedly abducting a 4-year-old and killing the child's mother in Jacksonville.

Wednesday afternoon, patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department reportedly found a man suffering from a gunshot would to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two weeks ago, a nationwide manhunt was on for Dail Sr. after authorities said he may have killed 4-year-old Norris Dail Jr.'s mother and taken the boy.

He was wanted on a warrant out of Duval County for first-degree murder.
