JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Alexander Monroe, 3, is in critical condition after nearly drowning in an Arlington neighborhood Thursday.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said its homicide unit responded to a call about a reported drowning in the 4500 block of Whispering Inlet Drive. JSO revealed that a child had to be pulled out of the pool.
He was unresponsive when police pulled him out of the pool.
JSO said the child was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
At this time, information about why the child was in the pool has not been released yet.
