A pedestrian was hit and killed on San Jose Boulevard in Beauclerc Thursday night just miles from a separate investigation in the Mandarin area.
Police arrived to 9355 San Jose Boulevard on Oct. 13 at approximately 9 p.m. and shut down the northbound lanes after finding William Ruiz Rodriguez, 26, dead in the road.
The driver reportedly struck Rodriguez, who was crossing the street nowhere near a crosswalk, and stayed to cooperate with police.
Authorities say the victim had no ID on them. There is an active and ongoing investigation into Rodriguez's death.
Police also responded to a crash with life-threatening injuries about an hour earlier to a crash on Sunbeam Road.
