New case of Zika reported in Clay Co.

CLAY COUNTY, Fla.—There are five new reported cases of Zika in Florida Friday, including one travel-related case in Clay County, state health officials say.

CLAY COUNTY, Fla.—There are five new reported cases of Zika in Florida Friday, including one travel-related case in Clay County, state health officials say.

One new travel-related case was reported in Clay, one in Brevard, one in Hillsborough, and one in Charlotte County, the Florida Health Department says in a news release.

There are at least 182 non-travel-related cases in the state, the vast majority of which in a 1-square mile area of Miami, but there are reported locally contracted cases reported in Pinellas County and Palm Beach County as well.

The state also says that 123 pregnant women are infected.

There are six undetermined cases of the Zika virus reported in the state and 19 cases of non-Florida residents infected.

  • St. Johns | 4
