JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Naval Hospital Jacksonville administered its first round of COVID-19 vaccines Wednesday afternoon.
The hospital received its first supply of the vaccine on Dec. 15.
During the initial phase, healthcare workers, emergency services and public safety personnel will be first to receive the vaccine.
The hospital says the vaccine is offered on a voluntary basis, while it’s under an Emergency Use Authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
