Did this fraudulent blow of the whistle cost the Jags a trip to the Super Bowl?

The Jags had a 10-point lead over the Patriots well into the second half of Sunday's AFC Championship game in New England.

They continued playing physical football knowing that any lead with Tom Brady under center is not safe.

And then it happened. A play that could've increased the Jaguars' lead to 27-10.

The Patriots resorted to a trick play in the fourth quarter - a pass to Danny Amendola who passed the ball to Dion Lewis for what would have been a first down.

However, Myles Jack made an unbelievable play on the ball stripping it from the receiver. After taking the ball from Lewis, Jack - untouched by any Patriots - headed for the end zone.

One of the NFL's fastest linebackers, no Patriots were between Jack and the end zone.

And then it happened.

A ref blew the whistle killing the potential TD.

The play was ruled a fumble on the field and the official's whistle meant Jack was down by contact - which he wasn't - or he blew it incorrectly.

Since the play was ruled down by contact it couldn't be reviewed.
