A person died Thursday after they were shot inside a small SUV on the Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Police identified the victim as 42-year-old Timothy James Basden.
JSO said they got a call about a person shot around 7:30 a.m. at 8471 Oglesby Ave. When police arrived, they found Basden inside the SUV with gunshot wounds.
When JFRD arrived, they pronounced him dead at the scene.
Witnesses told police they two people leave the scene: one left in a small dark colored SUV and another was seen running away by foot.
