Northwest Jacksonville daycare broken into twice in less than 24 hours

A Northwest Jacksonville daycare was broken into twice during a 24-hour span on Thursday.

Around 7 p.m., Juzt Kidz Learning Centers was broken into for the second time. Staff told First Coast News that they noticed the building was burglarized overnight.

They said the suspect removed cinder blocks, making a hole in the wall, which is how they got inside.

The burglar stole a computer worth thousands of dollars, plus an entire meat freezer, staff said.

"I work hard, I bust my butt and if anybody needs anything, I'll give them the shirt off my back and I'm mad because they're taking from children," the owner said.

The owner came back to the building around 7 p.m. and noticed the kitchen light on and called the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. She said the burglar escaped before police arrived and that it looked as if the suspect came back to pack groceries.
