Man and wife arrested in case of 22-year-old Brantley County man's murder

Police in Glynn County, Georgia are looking for a suspect in the shooting death of a 22-year-old Brantley County man, according to the sheriff's office.

Police in Glynn County, Georgia have arrested two people in the shooting death of a 22-year-old Brantley County man, according to the sheriff’s office.

Corey Proctor, 22, was found deceased in the driver’s seat of a vehicle at about 7:15 a.m. Saturday in the north end of Golden Isles Parkway, North of Greenswamp Road.

Husband and wife, Tiffany Brown, 32, and Akeem Brown, 31, have been arrested and charged with Proctor's murder.

The preliminary cause of death is a gunshot wound, and his death is being investigated as a homicide, a news release said Saturday.

"We are committed to thoroughly investigating violent crimes in Glynn County and will work with other partner law enforcement agencies to accomplish this. We also work with and seek guidance from the District Attorney;'s Office during these investigations to help facilitate successful prosecutions, said Chief John Powell.

It’s believed he died sometime late Friday night or early Saturday morning, the news release said.
